MGI is the international database resource for the laboratory mouse, providing integrated genetic, genomic, and biological data to facilitate the study of human health and disease. You should know the MGI-ID of your gene of interest. 

A really good book about Mouse Genetics is from Lee Silver (1995). Thanks to JAX-MGI, the book is available online at:


Our most important book ("The Bible") is: Manipulating the Mouse Embryo from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press. There is a copy available at the Max Perutz Library.
