Martin Radolf - Head of Molecular Biology Service
Martin headed the Microarray Facility under supervision of Peter Steinlein since 2002 when it formerly belonged to the Biooptics Department. He is, together with Harald Scheuch, the contact person regarding designing, performing and analyzing of microarray experiments and microarray data. He can give an introduction and training on the equipment offered by the Department as well as for high throughput robotic liquid handling. He is the radiation safety officer for the IMP and responsible and gives the initial laboratory safety introduction.

Harald Scheuch
Harald has been with us since March 2008, and runs together with Martin the Microarray Facility. He can also help answer questions regarding all the equipment in the Department. Harald, together with Martin conducts the microarray experiments, and does the image and data analysis. He is also the contact person regarding the BeadXpress (Illumina) and Bioplex-Multiplex Reader (Biorad).

Sabina Kula
Sabina joined our group in January 2012. She is experienced in high-throughput generation of single-clone verified custom-designed RNAi libraries. She can give you details about cloning, barcoding and liquid handling robotics which are used for production of shRNA libraries. Sabina will also run the Illumina BeadXpress System performing high through put SNP analysis experiments.

Zuzana Dzupinkova - Sanger Sequencing
Zuzana joined the Service Department in Summer 2011. She is the contact person regarding any questions about routine Sanger Sequencing. She is also responsible for development and establishing new methods with the two ABI Capillary Sequencing machines. She also makes competent cells and provides them for our institutes.

Markus Hohl
Markus runs together with Zuzana the Sanger sequencing service which he has done already in the former General Scientific Service Unit. He takes over the samples, prepares the samples for sequencing and provides the data output from the ABI capillary sequencing machines to our scientists.

Ivan Botto
Ivan Botto, a member of the former General Service Department, produces
and isolates many different monoclonal antibodies from hybridoma cell lines. He is also responsible for making compentent cells. Ivan assists the radiation safety officer regarding the registration of people, changing dosimeter batches and radioactive waste.
