M40 - Spinning Disk Confocal Olympus (inverted) with incubation

System Description

The M40 Olympus spinning disk confocal is based on an Olympus IX3 Series (IX83) inverted microscope, equipped with a dual-camera Yokogawa W1 spinning disk (SD) allowing fast confocal acquisition. All components are controlled by the CellSense software.

The system is able to run multidimensional experiments including any combination of the following: multiple positions, multiple wavelengths including brightfield (DIC), z-Stacks, time-lapse. There is also Olympus Z-Drift Compensation (ZDC) hardware autofocus system for long-term stabilization.

This makes it suitable e.g. for various live experiments or the automatic acquisition of a large amount of images (screening).
