Thomas analyses project specific high-throughput sequencing data and develops the bioinformatics infrastructure for next-generation sequencing together with other groups at the IMP/IMBA.

Wolfgang takes care of the high performance computing (HPC) cluster and the bioinformatics server infrastructure. He can also help you in compiling, installing and maintaining new software. Not only on the cluster, but also web- and database-based third-party products (e.g. Annotator, Huygens, ...) and mirrors (e.g. Wormbase, UCSC Genome Browser, ...).

Maria has her strength in the integrated analysis of genomics and proteomics data, in exploratory sequence analysis, protein function prediction, structural bioinformatics, comparative genomics and other bioinformatics tasks. She has also worked in bioinformatics method development. Maria likes to work in very close collaboration with experimental scientists, and believes that this close interaction is indispensable for successful problem solving.
